The game is a realistic military simulation set in a post-apocalyptic world, where bands of desert warriors fight for resources and survival. Unlike other military games, Mad Thunder does not feature centralized countries or high-tech armies. Instead, players must build and upgrade their military vehicles using whatever scraps are available.
According to UN experts, a global cataclysm is inevitable in the coming years, and Mad Thunder aims to help players prepare for the future after the disaster. The game is set in a world where civilization has ceased to exist, and only fragments of it, such as electronic components, car parts, pieces of armor, and scrap metal, remain. These fragments can be used to build new military vehicles, which players can use to fight for resources and survival.
The Mad Thunder beta test started on an unspecified date and will last until April 22. Anyone can participate in the beta test and wreak havoc directly from the War Thunder game client. Players who perform well in the beta test will receive a set of unique decals featuring a girl from the game's post-apocalyptic world. These decals can be used to decorate players' tanks in War Thunder.
War Thunder is a free-to-play, cross-platform, massively multiplayer military game with millions of fans worldwide. The game allows players on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, and Linux to fight their way across air, land, and sea in the same battlefield. War Thunder offers over 2000 playable aircraft, armored vehicles, and ships from the 1900s to the 2010s.
