Kwalee, a leading global games publisher and developer, has invested in Devolver Digital, a prominent brand in the PC/console games segment. This investment follows Kwalee's recent minority stake in French mobile games developer 8SEC and is part of the company's broader growth strategy to diversify beyond hyper-casual mobile gaming.

Founded by David Darling CBE, Kwalee has a successful track record in the gaming industry, with over 70 hit games generating over 1.2 billion downloads. The investment in Devolver increases Kwalee's exposure to the PC/console market, where it has recently launched Robobeat and has over ten promising games in the pipeline.

Kwalee's growth strategy includes focusing on four key market segments, including hyper-casual, casual, hybrid casual, and PC/console gaming. The company has established a strong reputation in publishing, earning the title of Publisher of the Year at the TIGA Games Industry Awards and The Mobile Games Awards in 2022.

David Darling CBE, Kwalee's founder, is a pioneer and leading entrepreneur in the UK gaming industry. He co-founded Codemasters in 1986, growing it into a global games powerhouse, and was recognized with a CBE for services to the industry in 2008. Since launching in 2011, Kwalee has scaled its team to over 400 employees and built out its operations across four studios in the UK, Portugal, India, and China.
