Kodansha Creators’ Lab Announces Three New Indie Games for 2025

Kodansha Creators’ Lab, the indie game publishing division of Kodansha Ltd., has announced the release date and new titles during the INDIE Live Expo. The co-op only adventure game, BOKURA: planet, will be released on April 24th, 2025, for PC via Steam. The game requires two human players to solve bi-dimensional puzzles through clear communication via voice chat. A demo of the game will be available on January 16th, 2025.

The publisher also revealed two new titles. The first one is a point-and-click visual novel adventure, and Roger, developed by yona, who previously created In His Time. The game follows the story of a young woman whose father has mysteriously disappeared and been replaced by a stranger. The second title is Pararecords, a branching narrative adventure developed by 6th Sense Games. Players will counsel children with paranormal abilities and help them open up by practicing careful communication.

Kodansha Creators’ Lab also announced that BOKURA, the prequel to BOKURA: planet, has sold over 700,000 units and will be released on PlayStation 5|4 on April 18th, 2025. The game will also be available at a 50%-off limited-time sale on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
