JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Game Revived: KLab and Wanda Cinemas Games Partner for 2026 Release

KLab Inc., a leading mobile game developer, has announced the resumption of development for a new mobile online game based on the popular JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure animation series. The project was initially announced in 2020 but was halted due to circumstances surrounding the previous development partner. With the new partnership with Wanda Cinemas Games, the game is set to be released worldwide, excluding Japan, in 2026.

KLab aims to generate revenue through its "Overseas Game Development Support Model," which involves obtaining licenses for games from Japanese IP holders who want to generate revenue overseas. The company plans to expand its business by leveraging its relationships with IP holders and overseas publishers.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a highly popular manga series that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1987. The animation series, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, was released in 2022 and gained popularity worldwide.

Wanda Cinemas Games, the new development partner, is a leading online game developer and operator in China. Established in Beijing in 2011, the company has developed and operated numerous successful online games, including Hoolai Three Kingdoms Website Game, ZhanXian, FenTian, Stickman Alliance, HeZhanSanGuo, and CSL of CMM. In 2016, Wanda Pictures acquired the company, and it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wanda Pictures, releasing prominent titles such as Hoolai Three Kingdoms Mobile Game, CMM, Calabash Brothers, Fortress Mobile Game, Saint Seiya: Legend of Justice, Tensura: King of Monsters, and The Legend of Qin.

KLab Inc. is a leader in online mobile gaming, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Tokyo. The company is listed on the Prime Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and has an office in Shanghai. KLab is known for its emphasis on quality and innovative games, expanding its business beyond the Japanese market.
