The Kickstarter campaign for "Replicant Rebellion," the new expansion for "Blade Runner: The Roleplaying Game" by Free League Publishing and Alcon Entertainment, is now open for late pledges. The campaign was funded in 12 minutes and has raised over $439,000 USD. The expansion allows players to join the Replicant Underground and fight against those who exploit and abuse Replicants. It includes new rules for Covers and Heat, rules for playing and creating Operations, and at least three complete Operations to play. The main crew from the core game continues on Replicant Rebellion, with Tomas Härenstam as game director and lead designer, Joe LeFavi as setting writer, and Martin Grip as cover artist. The expansion is expected to be released in 2024. The Blade Runner RPG core game, released in 2022, has won multiple industry awards and is based on the acclaimed Year Zero Engine. The game pushes the boundaries of investigative gameplay in tabletop RPGs, giving players a range of tools to solve an array of cases. The rules are further developed and uniquely tailored for Blade Runner. Alcon Entertainment has financed and produced or co-financed and co-produced 34 films, including the Academy Award Best Picture nominee The Blind Side and the critically acclaimed Blade Runner 2049.
