Pc Games Early Access Indie Game Free To Play

Frost Giant Studios, formed by veterans of StarCraft® II and Warcraft® III, has launched the early access preview for their highly anticipated real-time strategy (RTS) game, Stormgate. The early access release is available for closed beta testers, Kickstarter backers, and those who pre-purchase one of three Early Access Packs on Steam. The full free-to-play version will be released on August 13.

Stormgate features three asymmetric factions: the Human Vanguard, the Infernal Host, and the Celestial Armada. The game preserves classic RTS gameplay while introducing modern innovations, such as the "BuddyBot" that aids players in managing the economy and base-building, and automated control groups to simplify inputs.

The game offers four main modes: Campaign, Competitive, Cooperative, and Custom Games. The campaign will continue to expand during early access and beyond, with new missions released periodically. Stormgate's business model is committed to fairness and transparency, with no pay-to-win advantages.

Powered by SnowPlay, Frost Giant's custom-built technology, Stormgate features 64 tick-rate servers, rollback netcode, and cross-platform play. The game is available for Windows PC on Steam and can also be played on other devices via NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform.
