Jelly Troops, an fast-paced real-time strategy game developed by solo developer Nukenin LLC and published by Phoenixx Inc, is releasing a playtest from Feb 10th to 17th featuring offline split-screen matches. The game, which has a cartoonish art style, features squishy, gooey golems in quick battles where victory depends on tactics and positioning. Players can build an army of charming slimes, use walls to control enemy movement, and seize flags in hotly contested zones.

Jelly Troops has easy-to-learn, hard-to-master gameplay, and the split-screen mode adds another layer of deception to the gameplay. The playtest is open to everyone, and players can join random online matches by clicking the “Download Demo” button on the Jelly Troops Steam page while logged into Steam.

Nukenin LLC, based in Kyoto, Japan, is a solo-developer studio founded by waken, who has a background in programming with Nintendo. Phoenixx, the publisher, is a company established in 2019 by industry veterans and aims to support innovative and creative developers from Japan and around the world. Jelly Troops will be available on PC via Steam in 2025. For more information, follow Nukenin LLC and Phoenixx on Twitter, Discord, and YouTube.
