Cicada Games, an independent game development team, has finally released its open-world puzzle adventure game, Isles of Sea and Sky, after five years of development and a successful Kickstarter campaign. The game is now available on PC via Steam.

Isles of Sea and Sky is a fantastical, oceanic, open-world puzzle adventure that lets players solve innovative block puzzles while uncovering a mystifying story. Players can explore the game's world in any order they choose, and they can leave a puzzle and return to it later with a new perspective if they get stuck. The game's intuitive and accessible puzzling controls are designed to be simple and directional, making it easy for people of most physical abilities to enjoy.

Isles of Sea and Sky is designed for all skill levels, with plenty of challenges and hidden secrets for puzzle experts, while also being approachable for puzzling beginners. The game's vibrant, retro, and atmospheric environment is captivating and offers a chill and ambient soundtrack for deeper gameplay immersion. The game tells a meaningful and memorable story using only images and no text.

Cicada Games is a team of three childhood best friends, Jason, Dan, and Craig, who grew up across the street from each other and have been making and playing games together for many years. Their shared childhood experiences have come to shape their style and cohesiveness as a team. Their first game, Triga, was released in 2022, and they are now excitedly working on Isles of Sea and Sky.
