The game, which was previously available on Windows PC and Xbox consoles, is set in 2084, where players manage a space colony and establish a new home for humans in a more sustainable way, after the exploitation of their home planet.
In Imagine Earth, players can build up their civilizations on 11 diverse planets, with various terrains and resources. They can trade natural goods and resources with space traders, build power plants, farms, and factories, and perform research to advance society sustainably. However, they must balance expansion and ecology to avoid climate disaster, as natural disasters and citizen unrest can occur due to exploitative actions.
Key gameplay features include a multi-mission story, competition mode against AI factions, freeform mode with procedurally generated planets, space traders and invaders, sustainable civilization building, and real-time planetary simulation. Imagine Earth is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and PC and Mac via Steam.
