Arc Games and Heart Machine have announced that the co-op rogue-lite adventure game, Hyper Light Breaker, will be available in Steam Early Access in late summer. The game is a new entry in the Hyper Light franchise and is set in the Hyper Light Drifter universe, taking place decades before the events of Hyper Light Drifter. Players will explore procedurally-generated open worlds as a Breaker, a mercenary tasked with entering the Overgrowth, and can choose to play alone or with friends.

Hyper Light Breaker features ever-changing worlds to explore, with unique layouts, enemies, loot, and rewards. Players can discover and unlock a wide arsenal of weapons, items, and upgrades to create their ideal build for new runs. The game also includes frenetic third-person combat, with hordes of enemies and brutal bosses to face.

The game's world is in disarray, with mysteries to solve and full 3D environments to explore. Traversal is made easy with a variety of abilities, including wall-dashing, hoverboard, and glider. The game's demo will be playable at Summer Game Fest: Play Days from June 8 – 10, with press, content creators, influencers, and streamers sharing their impressions shortly after.

Arc Games is a leading publisher of premium and live service games in North America, Europe, and Asia, while Heart Machine is an award-winning development studio based in Los Angeles. Hyper Light Breaker is Heart Machine's latest project, following the success of Hyper Light Drifter and Solar Ash.
