Huawei Game Salon Unites Global Developers in Booming European Gaming Market

Pc Games Mobile Gaming Indie Game Sony Playstation Microsoft XboxHuawei's AppGallery organized the Huawei Game Salon – Cloud Collaboration (Europe) in Istanbul, Türkiye, to strengthen partnerships and bring robust public cloud infrastructure to European enterprises. The event highlighted Huawei Cloud as a premier business solution for gaming companies seeking to build high-quality, holistic cloud gaming experiences.
Türkiye, with its growing number of talented developers and large, dedicated player base, is essential to Huawei's European gaming plans. The Turkish mobile gaming market is predicted to reach $8.56 billion in 2024, with over 75% of the population owning a smartphone. The pan-entertainment sector, including live streaming, reached a market value of $228.7 million in 2023.
Leading Chinese developers, such as Funplus, Tencent, Moonton, and miHoYo, attended the event and expressed enthusiasm for working with Huawei in Europe. Huawei aims to bridge the gap between top developers from around the world and European gamers, offering comprehensive support from development to commercial monetization.
The Huawei Gaming Salon featured a CP-Gamer Interactive Sharing, where Chinese developers learned about the success stories and experiences of Huawei's European partners, Playrix and Com2us. A Local Partner Sharing session added further perspectives to the day's discussions. Attendees also visited the HUAWEI CLOUD Data Center and experienced Turkish culture.
AppGallery, one of the top 3 global app distribution platforms, is available in over 170 countries and regions, with over 580 million global monthly active users and 6 million registered developers. Huawei's partners, including Tencent, Moonton, miHoYo, and Funplus, are planning to publish their games on AppGallery in Europe in the second half of 2024.
