Anvil Game Studios has announced the release of Holdfast: Nations At War on consoles, with full crossplay support on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5, and Steam. The game supports over 150 players in large-scale battles across various eras, including the Napoleonic Wars, Age of Sail, and WW1.

Holdfast offers a unique experience through its community, which includes role-play features and proximity voice chat. Players can engage in battles across different eras, with each era offering a unique experience. The game features 27 classes, each with its own traits and abilities, and players can customize their characters with over 100 unlockables.

Players can choose to fight for one of six nations, including the British Empire, French Empire, Kingdom of Prussia, Russian Empire, Austrian Empire, or the Kingdom of Italy. They can also participate in naval battles and take command of warships.

The game's key features include massive 150+ player battles, crossplay and proximity voice support across all platforms, roleplay first and third-person shooter, and 27 battlefield roles. Holdfast has exceeded expectations since its release on PC and Steam's Early Access in 2017, and the developers are excited to welcome new players to the game and community.

Holdfast is now available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Steamdeck, and PC (Steam). The release date is July 9th, 2025, at 5 PM CEST. The game is developed by Anvil Game Studios, based in Malta.
