Anvil Game Studios has announced the release of Holdfast: Nations At War on consoles, with full crossplay support, on July 9th, 2025. The game will be available on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5/Pro, and Steamdeck, as well as PC (Steam). Holdfast is a roleplay shooter that offers massive 150+ player battles spanning across the Napoleonic, Age of sail, and WW1 eras.

The game boasts a strong community that provides an extra experience through role-play features and proximity voice chat. Players can engage in large-scale battles across multiple eras, with 27 different classes to choose from, each with its own traits and abilities. Battle-hardened soldiers can cosmetically display their feats through Holdfast's player progression and customization mechanics.

Holdfast offers a variety of battlefield roles, including infantry, artillery, naval vessels, and cavalry. Players can choose to be steadfast men in the ranks, take lead as an officer, fire impressive displays of coordinated volleys, support the fight from the rear, command naval vessels, ride to glory on horseback, or give 'em steel with bayonet equipped.

The game features warring nations, including the British Empire, French Empire, Kingdom of Prussia, Russian Empire, Austrian Empire, and the Kingdom of Italy. Players can also engage in trench warfare in the Central or Allied Powers during WW1.

Holdfast has exceeded expectations since its release on PC and Steam's Early Access in 2017.
