Kibe Software House has announced that their anime-inspired Metroidvania game, Arcadia: Colony, will be released for Nintendo Switch on May 16, 2024. The game is set in a colony that was once a peaceful settlement but is now under attack by the Champion of the Sky, who is using giant mechanical birds to steal the colony's powerful secrets.

Players will take control of three heroes - Airi, Enji, and Tazpo - who have unique abilities that they will need to use strategically to save their home. Airi is an acrobatic rabbit who can jump to higher heights, Enji is a clever porcupine who can use gadgets to overcome obstacles, and Tazpo is a strong mole who can launch himself through tough earth.

The game will feature tightly tuned controls and challenging battles against the Champion's puppets, including boss monsters that can affect the entire area. Players will need to discover the weak points of the mechanical birds and attack them with each hero's special abilities to defeat them.

Arcadia: Colony is set in a vibrant anime-style world that is reminiscent of Saturday morning cartoons and inspired by games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive. The colony is full of surprising locations, colorful characters, and lively environments, and players will need to explore and work with survivors to progress and learn more about what the Champion of the Sky seeks.

Kibe Software House is a game development studio based in Milan, Italy, and Arcadia: Colony is their debut game. The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter and was released on Steam in late 2023. The Nintendo Switch release is expected to provide an exciting and challenging experience for players when it is released on May 16, 2024.
