The demo for the game "Heroes of the Citadel" is now available on Steam and the Funtico website. This is a significant milestone for Funtico as "Heroes of the Citadel" is their first game to be released on Steam.

"Heroes of the Citadel" is a free RPG-style auto battler set in a lively, immersive fantasy world. Players will encounter numerous obstacles that require tactical thinking and the creation of the most powerful team to defeat formidable enemies. The game offers a wide range of characters, equipment, and upgrades, allowing players to create unique hero teams to save the world.

The demo includes a campaign mode with selected chapters, where players can recruit a diverse cast of characters, representing only a small fraction of the heroes available in the final product. Additionally, users will experience several mechanics that developers want to test and refine based on player feedback. Funtico is actively seeking opinions to ensure the best possible experience with the final version of the game.

The game's story takes place in the fantasy world of Entaron, which is in danger. Players will face powerful enemies, take on challenges, and defend the citadel. The plot revolves around Vorak, a powerful deity that seeks absolute dominance, destroying its divine siblings in its ruthless pursuit. The Citadel, created by Aion, the last opposing god, offers hope. By sacrificing his immortality, Aion aims to protect humanity and gather a team capable of defeating Vorak. Players will recruit heroes from various characters, including knights, ninja, demigods, and sorcerers.

"Heroes of the Citadel" was first announced at the Taipei Game Show 2024, introducing Funtico's debut project. After nearly six months of development, the first demo is now available on the Steam platform and the Funtico website. The full game's global premiere is planned for summer 2024.
