Pc Games Role Playing Game Indie Game Early AccessFool’s Theory and 11 bit studios have released a Polish voice-over for their narrative RPG, The Thaumaturge, which is set in 1905 Warsaw. The Polish language was under threat during the early 20th century, with invaders trying to remove it from schools and everyday life. However, the Polish people's brave spirit prevailed, and the developers have honored this resilience by adding a Polish voice-over option.
The Polish voice actors who recorded the English dialogues have reprised their roles for the Polish dub, maintaining the Slavic flavor of the game's narrative. The writing uses period vocabulary and expressions that are no longer in everyday use, providing players with a more immersive and authentic experience.
The Thaumaturge is an isometric RPG that combines a gripping narrative with morally ambiguous choices and a meaningful theme. Players assume the role of Wiktor Szulski, a talented but troubled thaumaturge, as he navigates the intricate web of early 20th-century Warsaw.
The Polish voice-over patch was released on May 27th, 2024, and to celebrate, The Thaumaturge is currently available at a 25% discount on Steam. The game is also available on Epic, GOG, PS5, and XSX, and players can follow The Thaumaturge on Twitter and Facebook for updates. 11 bit studios and Fool’s Theory can also be found on various social media platforms.
