Hats and Guns, a Western-style roguelite deckbuilder with tactical elements, was recently announced on Steam. The game is inspired by Slay the Spire and features a map, shop, and events that cause moral dilemmas for players. However, Hats and Guns has a unique combat system where players fight their way out of a grid in turn-based combat using cards, guns, and fists.

The game features four playable characters, each with different decks and weapons, providing replayability and different game styles. There are only five types of cards in the game: Accuracy, Strength, Speed, Reflex, and Dexterity. The developers, Edgar Covarel and Guillaume Kerviel, are graduates of the Bellecour school in Lyon, France, and are looking for beta testers for the game. Hats and Guns should release a demo around March and will be present in French events. The full game will feature around one hundred card upgrades and a dozen weapons. Players can wishlist the game on Steam and join the developers' Discord server to try the game.
