Hack and Infiltrate in Real-Time: Experience NULLPTR, the Thrilling Hacking Game

In his new indie game, Brazilian developer Jeferson Silva introduces NULLPTR, a real-time hacking game that combines action and puzzle elements. Players take on the role of a hacker, infiltrating server grids to steal data from megacorporations while avoiding detection. The game features tension-filled, time-limited levels where hackers must create safe routes, bypass security systems, and exploit defensive programs' behavior.

NULLPTR offers a unique blend of action and puzzle-solving, requiring careful planning and precise execution. Once connected to a server, players have 20 seconds to hack security systems, reprogram servers, and download data. The challenge lies in finding or creating safe routes to download all databases without being traced.

Players can choose the best entry point by selecting from color-coded ports, each providing access to different parts of the server and security systems. Installing backdoors opens more ports, offering additional entry points for attacks.

To download server data, players must build a connection from an entry point to the database, choosing short routes and evading security systems like firewalls. Understanding and exploiting sentinel programs' weaknesses are crucial to success, as each megacorporation has installed their own sentinel programs to protect their data.

The game's demo, available on Steam, features 17 tutorial levels, introduces the four megacorporations, and allows players to hack more than 25 megacorp servers. Players can also face sentinel programs and learn how to deal with them.
