The much-awaited return of the acclaimed Pixel Pulps series, Grizzly Man, has been released. This game is a slasher thriller with a blend of psychedelia, conspiracy, and horror tropes, all presented in a striking 1980s-inspired Pixel Art style. The story revolves around Robert, a former Man in Black turned field guide, who takes a group of tourists on a journey to the Alaskan wilderness during the salmon migration. However, their trip turns into a horrifying encounter with Grizzly Man, a bloodthirsty figure with ties to the CIA and Project MKUltra.

Grizzly Man is the first installment in the Direct-To-Video Collection, a new trilogy of standalone Pixel Pulps, with the upcoming titles Dark Side Sewers and Possession Junkies set to expand the series. The game is currently available exclusively on Steam in English and Spanish, with plans for additional language localizations. While console ports for the trilogy are planned, details are still being finalized for future releases.

LCB Game Studio, the creator of Pixel Pulps, is known for its innovative mix of interactive fiction, retro art, and fast-paced storytelling inspired by pulp novels from the early 20th century and '80s computer graphics. The studio was founded by novelist and game designer Nico Saraintaris and artist Fernando Martínez Ruppel in 2012 and has since released three Pixel Pulps games on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch, available in five languages. A physical edition, Pixel Pulps Collection, was launched in July 2024 for PS5 and Nintendo Switch, compiling all three titles into a must-have package.
