Indie Game Pc Games Action Game Role Playing Game Early Access Free To PlayAirborne Games, the developer of Airmen and Granvir, has announced the Chainsaw Bayonet Update for its 3rd person mecha roguelite, Granvir. This update introduces a new chainsaw weapon, the HC04 Sabertooth, which can be attached to a rifle for close-range combat. The update also includes a new two-handed rifle, the HC03 Resort, which provides greater long-range flexibility and tactical options.
Granvir is a 3rd person action roguelite that features mech building, where players can scavenge the battlefield for parts to replace and upgrade their arms, legs, torso, and weaponry. Players can pilot their Granvir and manage their campaign between battles to find the best equipment and stay supplied.
The game offers several key features, including the ability to unlock an arsenal of weapons, such as devastating melee weapons like swords, rocket spears, and jaw arms, and powerful long-range guns like cannons, machine guns, flamethrowers, and rockets. Players can mix and match these weapons to suit their play style. Additionally, players can build their Granvir their way by mixing arms, legs, armatures, and special modules to customize their mech. Defeating ace pilots grants unique parts for players to use.
The game also allows players to prosecute the war as they see fit, with no campaign being the same as players manage time, resources, and their route to each objective. Each zone dictates what services and resources are available to players, and they can use downtime between missions to refit and upgrade their Granvir to prevail.
For more information, players can follow Airborne Games on Twitter or join the Discord. A trailer for the game is also available to watch on YouTube.
