Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Releases Version 2.00 Update with New Playable Character Sandalphon

Cygames, the video game publisher and developer, released the Version 2.00 update to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising (GBVSR) on February 26, 2025. The update includes a new playable character, Sandalphon, who is available as DLC and comes with a Premium Avatar, character badge, and more. GBVSR's Deluxe Character Pass 2 is also now available and includes Sandalphon, Galleon, Wilnas, Meg, and Ilsa.
The update also features a new mini-game for online lobbies, SHARK TO GLORY, and an online training mode. Additionally, the update includes balance adjustments for various battles and characters, and Battle Pass Round 7, which comes with additional rewards and unlockables.
Popuko and Pipimi from Pop Team Epic are now available as Premium Avatars, and a new costume for Beelzebub is also available as DLC content. The latest battle pass, Battle Pass Round 7, includes additional in-game items that can be unlocked, such as character illustrations, music, badges, trophies, and more.
The Standard and Deluxe Editions of GBVSR are currently on sale for 61% off on the PlayStation™Store and Steam until March 12, 2025 (PT) and March 11, 2025 (PT), respectively. Cygames is also celebrating the addition of Sandalphon to the GBVSR roster with a new line of special merchandise featuring the supreme primarch himself, which is now available for preorder on the Cystore website and Amazon.
