Global Game Jam Launches Indie Studio Supporter Program

Global Game Jam, the world's largest game creation event, has launched an annual membership program called the Global Game Jam Indie Studio Supporters program. The program aims to support game developers year-round and help them build sustainable careers in game development. Participating studios will receive promotion on the Global Game Jam website and social media, exclusive deals from sponsors, access to webinars and "Ask the Expert" sessions, and the ability to connect with other studios worldwide.

The program is designed to be globally accessible, with a tiered pricing system based on World Bank designation, making it possible for studios to sign up for as little as $50 a year. Even before the official launch, the program has drawn paid signups from around the globe, including studios from the United States, Ukraine, Germany, Finland, Serbia, Colombia, Brazil, China, Cameroon, and more.

The Global Game Jam Indie Studio Supporters program is an effort to support small studios and help continue building community as they're building their businesses. The program also allows studios to financially help support the organization in ways that traditional event sponsorship might not be possible.

Global Game Jam is a nonprofit with a mission to empower all individuals worldwide to learn, experiment, and create together through the medium of games in a safe and welcoming environment. With 800 event sites in over 100 countries, The Global Game Jam directly serves nearly 40,000 game creators annually.

Studios can sign up to become an Indie Studio Supporter by visiting the Global Game Jam website. The program's emphasis on community, exposure, and economic incentives makes it a game changer for small game development studios looking to build sustainable careers in the industry.
