Clear River Games, a video game publisher specializing in classic and retro games, has revealed the first gameplay footage of the much-anticipated Gimmick! 2, a sequel that fans have been eagerly waiting for, for decades. Developed by Bitwave Games, Gimmick! 2 continues the adventures of the hero Yokai Yumetaro, made famous in the original SUNSOFT game released for the NES. The new game features charming, color-soaked visuals, updated for modern gamers with gorgeous animation, new characters, and secrets to discover. Gimmick! 2 retains the challenging gameplay of the original game while offering an easier mode for those who prefer a more forgiving platforming adventure.

Legendary British composer David Wise, known for his work on the Donkey Kong Country series, Battletoads, Diddy Kong Racing, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and more, will be scoring the soundtrack for Gimmick! 2. The soundtrack has been recorded live in Sweden and features new melodies as well as remastered old classics.
