Genshin Impact Symphony Orchestras: A Musical Journey Supporting Local Talent

Action Game Role Playing Game Free To Play Indie Game Pc Games Nintendo Switch Sony Playstation Microsoft Xbox Virtual Reality GamingGenshin Impact, the popular open-world adventure RPG game, is collaborating with two university orchestras to host symphony orchestra concerts in Vienna and Dortmund this fall. These 1.5-hour concerts will feature music from various in-game regions, including Genshin Impact's newest region, Natlan. Over 100 musicians, a choir, and folk instruments from diverse cultures will participate in each concert. Ticket prices are affordable, starting below €10, and revenue will support musical education, environmental conservation, and other social causes.
Genshin Impact's original music is produced by HOYO-MiX, and the game features music from seven distinct nations within the fantasy world of Teyvat. The Impact4Music project, founded by Genshin Impact, supports local talent worldwide and provides free-of-charge sheet music to non-profit orchestras. As of August 2024, the project has supported 12 university and amateur performances in several countries.
The Vienna concert will be conducted by Vijay Upadhyaya on November 11 at the Golden Hall of Musikverein, while the Dortmund concert, featuring the TU Dortmund University Orchestra and Choir, will be conducted by Julian Pontus Schirmer on November 25 at Konzerthaus Dortmund. Genshin Impact players are welcome to attend in cosplay.
