Spiderweb Software has released Geneforge 2 - Infestation, a remaster of the classic RPG Geneforge 2. The game is now available on PC and Mac, with an iPad version coming soon. Geneforge 2 - Infestation features new storylines, quests, and a revamped UI, while maintaining the series' signature gameplay and freedom.

Players assume the role of Shapers, powerful wizards who create life to serve them. However, a rebellion among the Shapers' creations has broken out, and players must choose whether to side with the Shapers or lead the rebellion. The game boasts over 50 hours of gameplay, multiple endings, and high replayability. Players can choose their own playstyle, whether it be through combat, diplomacy, or stealth, and every choice has consequences.

The release of Geneforge 2 - Infestation follows a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised over $76,500 from over 1,500 backers. The funds allowed Spiderweb Software to add new storylines, creations, and artifacts to the game.

Spiderweb Software's founder, Jeff Vogel, expressed his excitement for the game's release, highlighting its unique features and old-school turn-based gameplay. Spiderweb Software is an indie game company based in Seattle, WA, known for creating fantasy role-playing games for Windows, Macintosh, and iOS. Their past titles include the award-winning Exile, Geneforge, Avernum, Queen's Wish, and Avadon series.
