Puppygames, a UK-based micro-studio, has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its latest game, BATTLEDROID. The studio has been developing this massively multiplayer asynchronous online PvP auto-battler for 14 years and needs funding to ensure a successful launch.

In BATTLEDROID, players fight for dominion over a model of the actual Earth, which is divided into 250,000 unique territories. Players must defend their territory with defensive weaponry and attack other players' territories with robots armed with various weapons. The game is all about planning and strategy, with autonomous attacks and cinematic outcomes. The Kickstarter campaign will run until June 28, 2024.

Puppygames consists of Caspian Prince, Chaz Willets, and Daniel Isheden, who write their games in Java. BATTLEDROID features a bespoke, written-from-scratch state-of-the-art rendering engine. The game will be available through Steam for Windows and Linux platforms.

Puppygames has previously developed games such as Revenge of the Titans, Basingstoke, Ultratron, Titan Attacks!, and Droid Assault. The Kickstarter page and press assets can be found on the studio's website. Interested parties can contact Puppygames via email or phone.
