Playdigious Originals, a publisher specializing in premium mobile ports of successful indie games, has announced the release date for its upcoming turn-based RPG, Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson. The game is set to launch on July 17th, 2025, for PC via Steam.

In Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson, players assume the role of Rob, a friendly musician on a mission to restore harmony in a world overrun by zany villains corrupting music. Rick Riffson, the CEO of Super Metal Records, is using the Battle of the Bands competition to tighten his grip on every note, chord, and song by trapping the best musicians and stealing their souls. Joined by Rob and his rockstar friends, players must embark on an epic quest to thwart SMR's nefarious plans.

As they progress through this vibrant musical world, players will collect killer riffs and wield powerful guitars to unleash crescendo attacks in epic battles against Riffson’s diabolical minions, monstrous instrument hybrids, and legendary musical animals.

Fretless - The Wrath of Riffson is developed by Ritual Studios, an independent video game development studio based in Chicago, Illinois. The studio's developers share a passion for the expressive arts, pixel art graphics, and the power of music. By combining sound and visuals masterfully, Ritual Studios creates emotionally charged games with a rich pixel art style and captivating soundtracks.
