Fractured Alliance is an upcoming real-time strategy game developed by indie studio Tense Games, set to release in the near future. Inspired by classic RTS titles such as Command & Conquer, Ground Control, Starcraft, and Supreme Commander, Fractured Alliance offers a fresh take on the genre with modern mechanics and a unique three-faction warfare system. Players can choose between the United Federation, Eastern Alliance, or The Collective, each with distinct strengths, weaknesses, and combat styles.

The United Federation focuses on high-tech weaponry, utilizing plasma and railguns for precise strikes, but their specialized units and energy-based defenses come at a premium cost. The Eastern Alliance is built on brute strength, with rugged, heavily armored units and devastating area-of-effect weapons, but their slower speed and lack of precision make them vulnerable to agile foes. The Collective, ideal for newcomers, relies on autonomous drones for continuous battlefield presence, enabling sustained pressure, but their drones are less durable and can be countered by high-damage defenses.

Fractured Alliance introduces new tactical layers, including harvesting resources across diverse terrains, capturing nodes that influence production, and utilizing each battlefield's unique topography to gain an advantage. Players can position artillery on high ground or set ambushes in dense forests, among other creative strategies.

In addition to its story-driven single-player campaign, Fractured Alliance features both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes, with battles continually testing strategic skill. As players progress, they'll unlock powerful superweapons like weather-control storms, nuclear strikes, and stealth carpet bombing runs, each capable of tipping the scales in intense matches.

Though Tense Games has not announced an official release date, Fractured Alliance is now open for wishlisting on Steam, and the studio is considering publishing offers to expand its reach.
