Forthright Entertainment has assumed development and future content creation for the acclaimed naval combat game, Maelstrom, previously handled by Gunpowder Games. This transition will result in additional content, a new season pass, and enhanced gameplay experience. Maelstrom will be featured as a key title in the Ultimate Endgamer's League (UEL) Season 9 Wheel of 30 Games, with UEL players competing in the game throughout the season.

Forthright Entertainment and UEL will host community gaming nights every Tuesday from 7:00 PM to Midnight EST until January 2025, allowing players to engage with the broader Maelstrom community and test their skills against UEL competitors. A special Maelstrom weekend tournament will take place from August 23rd to 25th, where UEL players aim to sink the fewest ships while the community tries to sink as many UEL player ships as possible.

Maelstrom is a grim fantasy naval combat game that offers intense ship battles in PvP and Coop modes, with four unique factions: Dwarves, Humans, Orcs, and Undead. The game is set in a dark and war-torn world, with each faction having its own strengths, weaknesses, and playstyles.
