Pc Games Indie Game Action Game Nintendo Switch Early Access Role Playing GameFootgun: Underground, a roguelike game developed by Turtle Knight Games and published by CobraTekku Games, is now available on Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck at a discounted price for a limited time. The game, which has been nominated for both the German Computer Game Award and the German Developer Award, features fast-paced action with balls as the main weapon.
Players can use different types of balls and environmental mechanics to take down enemies and upgrade their arsenal between levels. With procedurally generated levels and a vast array of upgrades, no two runs are the same. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world with 5 different biotopes and 14 enemy types, as well as unique boss monsters.
Footgun: Underground is now available on the Nintendo eShop for $15.99 and on Steam Deck for £8.99/€8.99/$8.99. Turtle Knight Games, founded in 2021, focuses on innovative and fun game ideas, and CobraTekku Games, founded in 2022, is an emerging indie publisher based in Munich, Germany.
In Footgun: Underground, players must use their skills and tactics to navigate through procedurally generated levels, using different types of balls and environmental mechanics to take down enemies. Between levels, upgrades and new abilities boost both the player and their arsenal, making each run more powerful. Defeating bosses rewards players with tokens to unlock even stronger upgrades.
The game's key features include roguelike-on-the-go, with fast-paced action and ball weapons, randomly generated runs with new challenges in every level, high-tech upgrades, and a retro look in beautifully designed 2D pixel art.
