Floating Rock Studio, based in Wellington, New Zealand, has revealed the first gameplay footage for their upcoming game, Kyōryū. The game is a third-person, story-driven adventure where players control Tori, a Samurai T-Rex with a fascination for extinct humans. The game is built in Unreal 5 and features high-fidelity visuals, both in-game and in cinematics.

The studio's small team of around 25 people is working to bring the game to life, aiming to create a narrative-driven, artful world. Last year, Floating Rock Studio gained attention with a viral trailer for Kyōryū, which also announced the development of a TV series. The trailer received 2.2 million organic views.

Floating Rock Studio is known for their engaging cinematics, narratives, and immersive worlds. Kyōryū is part of their Cineplay concept, which aims to provide audiences with a single emotionally captivating and gripping story through various mediums.

While the Steam page for Kyōryū is still being set up, fans can follow the studio's development progress through their Discord server, YouTube channel, or Instagram page. Floating Rock Studio's website is also available for more information about the company and their projects.
