Flesh Made Fear: A Blood-Soaked Tribute to PSX Survival Horror, Coming Q4 2025

Pc Games Indie GameAssemble Entertainment, a German-based game publisher, has announced the acquisition of the survival horror game Flesh Made Fear, developed by Michael Cosio, also known as Tainted Pact, a solo developer from California. The game is set to release on PC Steam in Q4 2025.
Flesh Made Fear is a tribute to the PSX-era of survival horror, bringing back the genre's intricate puzzles, pulse-pounding combat, and suffocating dread while incorporating modern controls and immersive cinematics. The game is set in a haunted world where twisted experiments and occultist nightmares bring a new dimension to the genre.
Players will step into the boots of a Reaper Intervention Platoon (R.I.P.) operative, tasked with hunting down the infamous Victor "The Dripper" Ripper, a former CIA agent turned deranged architect of horror. The mission takes place in a town transformed into a grotesque slaughterhouse, filled with mind-warped infected and nightmarish creations.
Players can choose between two characters, Jack and Natalie, each with unique stats and story arcs, adding replayability to the game. The game features a variety of weapons, ranging from pistols to flamethrowers, all with limited ammo to test the players' skills and resourcefulness.
The game boasts a wide range of grotesque creatures born of Ripper’s experiments, each with warped bodies and unnatural hunger. The gameplay features modern innovations, such as fixed and dynamic camera angles, limited saves, inventory management, and puzzle-driven narrative.
Assemble Entertainment is known for its diverse and highly praised indie games, and Flesh Made Fear is set to push the boundaries of survival horror, redefining the genre for a new generation. The game is developed by Tainted Pact, who has also developed several other indie horror games, including Terror at Oakheart, Suffer the Night, Weeping Falls Massacre, and Meat Saw.
