Luke Muscat, the creator of popular mobile games Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja, has announced his latest project: a lovecraftian deep sea roguelike called Feed The Deep. The game is set to launch on August 16th, 2024 for PC and Mac via Steam. A new one-minute narrated trailer has also been released, showcasing the game's mechanics.

In Feed The Deep, players must protect floating cities by feeding an eldritch creature that resides on the ocean floor, all while managing limited oxygen, dark spaces, and hostile wildlife. The game features procedurally generated undersea caves and allows players to set their own pace, whether they prefer a fast and aggressive approach or a slower, more careful one. The game's soundtrack is composed by award-winning composer Cedar Jones, who also worked on Jetpack Joyride. Feed The Deep is inspired by Lovecraftian fiction and offers compulsive roguelike gameplay. Players can collect resources to trade for upgrades and items on the surface as they explore deeper into the ocean. The game's Steam page and presskit are now available for those interested in learning more.
