Bumblebee Studios is set to release its dark fantasy tower defense game, Eye of the Summoner, on Steam for Windows, Linux, and Steam Deck on May 16, 2025. The game, which was initially developed during Ludum Dare 55, has evolved into a full-fledged experience due to community support. Players assume the role of the Eye, a mysterious force bound to a cursed tower, summoning dark minions to defend against human invaders.

Eye of the Summoner combines strategy and action, allowing players to rotate the tower, select upgrade cards between waves, and adapt to an increasing variety of enemies. The game features endless wave-based survival with increasing difficulty, six upgradeable minion types, Steam achievements, cloud saves, global leaderboards, and full controller support.

The game will be available for $4.99 USD, with a 25% launch discount during its first two weeks. Eye of the Summoner will launch as a complete product and the developers plan to add more content and features if the game receives a positive response from the community.
