PQube, a prominent international publisher of video games, has announced the localization of the visual novel “Death Match Love Comedy!” for English-speaking audiences. The game, which features a blend of slapstick comedy, the supernatural, and romance, is set to release later in 2025 for PC and consoles. Pre-orders for the physical edition of the game on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will be available soon.

In “Death Match Love Comedy!”, the protagonist, Kei Yagi, is cursed and will explode the next time he receives a confession of love. The game features multiple routes and endings, which can be navigated through a chart system. A special confession warning light will alert players of impending love confessions, allowing them to avoid or accept the confessions to collect all the bad endings.

Kei is not alone in his journey, as he is accompanied by classmates and friends as he tries to uncover the mystery of the curse. The game is connected to “Raging Loop”, another visual novel by scenario writer amphibian, and is the second entry in a series of sister works.
