Explore Abyss: VALORANT's Boundary-Breaking New Map with Death Drops and Assassin Lairs

Riot Games has announced the release of a new map, Abyss, for its popular tactical shooter game, VALORANT. Abyss is set to launch on June 11, 2024, and will offer players a unique gaming experience, as it is the first VALORANT map without boundaries, encouraging creative thinking and strategic use of utility and movement.

The new map, Abyss, takes players to the secret base of the Scions of the Hourglass, a clandestine organization of assassins, located at the edge of the world and hidden within a dangerous chasm. The map features two spike sites, a three-lane layout, and "death drops," along with creative "jump shortcuts" and branching mid-paths.

Abyss promises to offer players a thrilling experience with its vertical gameplay and precarious pitfalls. Players can still check out the 2024 Give Back Bundle, which will be available until June 12, with 50% of the proceeds from weapon skins and 100% from accessories going towards the Riot Games Social Impact Fund.

VALORANT is a free-to-play, competitive 5v5 character-based tactical shooter game developed by Riot Games. The game boasts high-fidelity gunplay, a diverse arsenal of guns, unique agents with special abilities, and competitively tuned maps for hours of play. The game is optimized for a wide variety of PC hardware and is committed to preserving the core tenets of the tactical shooter genre and upholding the competitive integrity of the gameplay experience.
