thatgamecompany, the creators of the popular game Sky: Children of the Light, has announced a limited in-game screening of The Two Embers: Part One, an animated feature revealing the origin story of the game's kingdom of stars. The wordless tale follows the parallel journeys of two children and explores universal themes of grief, anger, and kindness. The film will be screened in four weekly chapters beginning July 21st inside the game's new in-game movie theater, Sky Cinema, where thousands of players can gather and watch together simultaneously.

The Two Embers marks the studio's most ambitious transmedia storytelling endeavor, allowing players to step into the story and deepen their emotional and narrative resonance through exploration and play.
