On July 7, 2024, a new game trailer was released for Forgotlings, a 2D cinematic action adventure game from the creators of the critically acclaimed Forgotton Anne. The game was successfully funded through a Kickstarter campaign in 2023 and will be showcased at Steam's NextFest summer 2024, which takes place from June 10th-17th. Attendees of the festival will have the opportunity to play a demo of Forgotlings.

Forgotlings is a single-player game that features traditional animation and a heartfelt story about things that have been lost. The game takes place in a semi-open world and includes novel dialogue mechanics, real-time combat, and stealth elements. Players can choose to engage in hack-n-slash style combat, or use strategy and stealth to take down enemies. The game also features stellar voice acting and a beautiful score, performed by an award-winning choir.

The game's developer, ThroughLine Games, will be hosting a livestream event on June 11th (7am PT) to showcase Forgotlings and answer questions from the community. The livestream can be accessed through the Steam store page.

Forgotlings promises to be an unforgettable journey into a imaginative and wholly original world, filled with wonder and excitement. The game's combination of traditional animation, engaging story, and innovative gameplay mechanics make it a must-play for fans of the action adventure genre. With its successful Kickstarter campaign and positive reception at Steam's NextFest, Forgotlings is poised to be one of the most highly anticipated indie games of the year.
