iTales VR, an indie VR studio, has released a free demo version of their surreal escape room game, Dark Trip, on Sidequest. The demo includes several early levels from Episode 1, giving players a taste of the game's unique blend of horror, psychedelia, and detective mystery before deciding to purchase the Early Access version on Meta Store. Recently, Dark Trip's "Episode 1" version was released within Early Access on Meta Store, featuring ten rooms, evidence collection mechanics, and improved character animations.

Dark Trip's release on Steam was delayed due to bureaucratic issues, but the game eventually secured its presence on the platform after providing a full demo build. The game won the DevGAMM Gdańsk 2025's Game Roast competition, where industry veterans roasted and critiqued upcoming indie games.

Dark Trip is a psychedelic escape room VR game where players, as a detective, consume drugs to solve puzzles and investigate an eerie crime case. The game features mind-bending psychedelic trips, intricate puzzles, and a haunting world filled with grotesque biotechnological machinery. Dark Trip is available via Early Access on Meta Store and has a "coming soon" page on Steam. Players can follow the game's development on various social media platforms and visit iTales VR's official website for more information about the studio and their projects.
