This top-down, story-rich gothic RPG set in 18th-century Italy allows players to delve into the world of dark magic and necromancy. In the game, players become a minor noble turned necromancer, mastering forbidden rituals and commanding an army of the undead.
The Necromancer’s Tale offers a unique narrative-driven experience, where every choice matters, with branching dialogue and a faction-based trust system. The game is inspired by Disco Elysium and Pillars of Eternity, and its dark origin story explores the true meaning of becoming a necromancer. With over 400,000 words and 180+ NPCs, the game promises a rich and immersive storyline.
Key gameplay features include mastering the dark arts, turn-based combat, forging powerful alliances, uncovering secrets of the dead, and exploring a living, breathing world. The game is influenced by H.P. Lovecraft, offering a realistic world with political intrigue, moral ambiguity, and terrors hiding in the shadows.
