Action Game Indie Game Pc Games Role Playing GameA solo developer from Germany has announced that their game, Curvature, will be featured in Steam Next Fest with an updated public demo and a new trailer. The game is a Soulslike title with a focus on exploration, adaptation, and confronting the unknown. Players take on the role of a nameless machine sent to a volatile planet ruled by grotesque creatures.
The new trailer highlights Curvature's deep, reaction-based combat and hostile environments. The demo invites players to navigate an interconnected world filled with puzzles, intelligent enemies, and hidden truths. Players must use everything from brute force to environmental manipulation to progress.
Curvature features a dark, interconnected world with diverse locations such as caves, forests, ruins, and high-tech facilities, all filled with hostile forces and strange allies. The game offers challenging combat with smart, coordinated enemies, and creative problem-solving with environmental puzzles, gadgets, physics interactions, and telekinetic abilities.
The demo allows players to build their playstyle using unique melee and ranged weapons, tactical devices, mobility gadgets, and powerful alien tech. The developer, Pawel, has been building Curvature independently for years, focusing on interesting and unique gameplay systems, atmospheric design, deep world-building, and meaningful challenge.
