VR Studio LDLC, in partnership with Artefacts Studio, Blanktone Studio, and Clair de Lune, has announced TaVRn's Takedown, a VR beat 'em up game set in the cult universe of Naheulbeuk. The game is set 200 years before the events of The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk and takes place in the town of Mliuej, where taverns are cursed and only fists can bring order. TaVRn's Takedown is the first-ever VR game set in the Naheulbeuk universe, which has gained popularity in France and Europe through comics, novels, video games, and music.

The teaser trailer for TaVRn's Takedown showcases the game's immersive, cartoon-style visuals, physics-based gameplay, and over-the-top animations. Players will be able to unleash chaos in a fantasy tavern, where fists fly, stools break, and magic booze triggers all-out brawls. The game is set to launch in 2026 on SteamVR and Meta Quest.

Naheulbeuk, created by John Lang, is a French fantasy satire that has captivated millions with its unique blend of absurdist humor, D&D-style fantasy, and cult appeal. TaVRn's Takedown brings this world to VR, allowing fans to experience the madness and chaos of the Naheulbeuk universe like never before.

VR Studio LDLC, a specialized VR branch of French tech giant LDLC, has developed seven VR games available in VR arcades and is also creating educational content and VR training programs. TaVRn's Takedown is the latest addition to their portfolio, pushing the boundaries of reality by blending entertainment with serious gaming.
