Everdeep Aurora, a 2D adventure game developed by Nautilus Games and published by Ysbryd Games, is now available on Windows PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. The game follows Shell, a young cat who wakes up on a bench after a meteor shower destroys the planet's surface, separated from her mother and with only a letter for guidance.

In Everdeep Aurora, players create pathways through procedurally generated stone tiles, leading Shell to various destinations like mansions, ponds, and taverns. Along the way, they'll encounter over 20 denizens of the Everdeep, who may ask for help in fulfilling their requests. Players can acquire new tools at Viktor's pawn shop, strengthen them with Remulus, and take fishing breaks with Otto.

The game's visual storytelling combines retro graphics, sound design, and a limited color palette with smoothly animated cutscenes, color-grading transitions, and shifting musical themes. Everdeep Aurora emphasizes the importance of relationships, both between Shell and her mother and with her newfound friends in the Everdeep.
