Escape DascuMaru's Haunting Tower on the Borderland, Launching May 20th

Belgian solodeveloper DascuMaru is excited to announce the upcoming release of his retro-inspired horror game, The Tower on the Borderland. The game, which draws inspiration from classic PlayStation horror games, challenges players to explore, survive, and escape from a menacing tower filled with ghouls and monsters. The Tower on the Borderland is set to be released on Steam on May 20th, 2024, and will be priced at $15.99, with a 10% launch discount.

In The Tower on the Borderland, players take on the role of Erin, a special ops soldier trapped in a nightmarish tower. As they ascend and descend through the labyrinthine structure, they must confront their fears and avoid grotesque insects, ghouls, and their former demonic squad mates. Meanwhile, a mysterious stranger with a personal quest towards the Tower may hold the key to Erin's survival.

The game's atmospheric horror experience is reminiscent of classic PlayStation horror games, with a hauntingly eerie setting and a crackling radio as the only source of comfort. Interested press, streamers, and content creators can request a Steam review code.

DascuMaru, whose real name is Jochen Mistiaen, is a solo game developer from Brussels, Belgium. He has a law degree and works in the public affairs sector but has a passion for gaming, particularly Souls-likes, the works of Suda51, and horror games. The Tower on the Borderland is his latest indie game, following previous titles such as Malebolgia, The Godbeast.
