Pixel Games UK and Imagine Software have released an update for Epyx Rogue, now available on the Nintendo eShop. The update addresses several issues impacting gameplay, enhancing the overall player experience. These issues include a fix for the ZL and ZR buttons not working for 'Zap' and 'Throw' actions, unattainable achievements, a softlock when reading a 'wild magic' scroll, and the timing of the keyboard when renaming items.

Epyx Rogue is a recreation of the original graphical port of Rogue by Epyx, which was first released in the 1980s. It is the original ever-changing dungeon crawler, where each journey into the Dungeons of Doom is unique, and players must navigate randomly generated rooms to find the fabled Amulet of Yendor.

Pixel Games UK is the games publishing arm of Andrews UK Limited, a leading indie media publisher and distributor for 23 years. Imagine Software Ltd is a games developer working on a range of retro games, remastered classics, and new IP on all current gen platforms.

The update aims to provide a smoother and more strategic combat experience, ensure all in-game goals are reachable, and make adjustments to the interface for a more enjoyable gameplay experience. The developers thank the players for their patience and continued support, and the team remains committed to delivering the best possible experience in Epyx Rogue. Nintendo Switch is a trademark of Nintendo.
