Enter the Gungeon 2, the sequel to the popular bullet-hell dungeon crawler, is currently in development by Dodge Roll and Devolver Digital. The game was announced during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation by Dave Crooks of Dodge Roll.

Enter the Gungeon 2 features a new 3D graphics style and includes new weapons, enemies, and gameplay mechanics. Players will battle their way through familiar and unfamiliar areas of the destroyed Gungeon, discovering and mastering new weapons as they go. The game will feature dynamic battles against previously 2D enemies, who will now be able to be launched, thrown, and knocked into pits.

Players can choose from a growing list of Gungeoneers, including familiar and new characters, as they rescue and free stranded heroes from the depths of the Gungeon. The game will also feature unexpected combinations of passive items, explosive active items, blessings, curses, and an impressive arsenal of weapons.

The release date for Enter the Gungeon 2 is set for 2026 and it will be available on PC and Nintendo Switch 2. The game can be added to your Steam wishlist now, even if you don't own a PC. Stay tuned for updates on additional platforms and other news throughout the year.
