Vancouver-based independent developer Liberated Penguin has achieved a significant milestone with its debut game, "End Of World – Story," which has garnered over 100 wishlists on Steam within the first 24 hours of its announcement. The game, a Sci-Fi RPG blending heists, space farming, and cosmic saga elements, has particularly resonated with Japanese users.
"End Of World – Story" invites players to explore a galaxy inhabited by four civilizations, 499 years after the defeat of AI. As the 500th anniversary of the Quantum Event approaches, players will uncover ancient secrets and engage in a journey filled with exploration, conflict, and discovery.
Liberated Penguin's developer team expressed gratitude for the positive response and revealed plans to release an original soundtrack to further immerse players in the game's universe. The game is now available for wishlisting on Steam, with a full release planned for 2026.
