The game follows Elroy, a slope city inhabitant, and Peggie, a journalist, as they search for Elroy's missing archaeologist father who disappeared 18 years ago. The pair embark on a galaxy-wide adventure across two planets, uncovering clues and solving puzzles along the way. The game is designed with accessibility in mind and features high-resolution hand-drawn 2D art and animations, and is fully voiced in English with text translations for other languages. Elroy and the Aliens is developed by indie studio Motiviti, based in Maribor, Slovenia, and is available to wishlist on Steam now.
Elroy and the Aliens is set in an altered version of the 1990s, complete with intelligent robots, paranormal activities, and ancient archaeological mysteries. Players will take on the role of Elroy, Peggie, and other playable characters as they explore over 60 locations across two sprawling planets. The game features challenging puzzles, over 60 fully voiced characters, and is inspired by LucasArts and Sierra games, as well as classics like Stargate, Indiana Jones, the Commonwealth Saga, and Hyperion.
The game's story is full of mystery, humor, character development, ancient legends, alien languages, and occasional pop culture references. With its high-resolution hand-drawn 2D art and animations, original music score, and fully voiced English dialogue, Elroy and the Aliens is sure to transport players back to the golden age of classic adventure games.
