KOEI TECMO America and developer Omega Force have unveiled the first story details of their upcoming action game, DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS, set to release in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC via Steam. This new game in the Warriors franchise features a heroic martial artist who faces overwhelming odds while fighting through hordes of enemies across the battlefields of the ancient Three Kingdoms.
DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS introduces a fresh take on the traditional Three Kingdoms storyline, providing a clear and engaging experience for both newcomers and long-time fans of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and DYNASTY WARRIORS franchises. The game follows a martial artist with amnesia who becomes entangled in the conflicts of the era, meeting key figures like Zhang Jiao and Guan Yu.
The game boasts an unprecedented number of soldiers on the battlefield, creating a sense of realism and intensity. Players can control various weapons and temporarily take control of other officers, like Guan Yu, to aid them in battle. Away from combat, players can explore the vast world of the Three Kingdoms on a continental map and interact with heroes.
Akihiro Suzuki, general producer of DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS, and producer Tomohiko Sho shared their thoughts on the upcoming game in a recent video.
