Pc Games Free To Play Action Game Role Playing Game Indie GameTechland, the game development studio, has announced the "Summer of Dying Light" to celebrate the franchise ahead of the release of "Dying Light: The Beast" on August 22, 2025. The original "Dying Light" and "Dying Light 2: Stay Human" are receiving free updates today, and "Dying Light: The Beast" is available for pre-order.
The "Dying Light: Retouched Update" enhances the visuals and audio of the original "Dying Light," which was first released a decade ago. The update includes improved graphics and performance, with increased texture quality, new 8k shadow quality levels, and improved physics-based rendering on metallic surfaces and water. The audio experience has also been improved with a remastered soundtrack by the original composer, Paweł Błaszczak, and new tracks and ambient themes throughout the game.
"Dying Light 2: Stay Human" is also getting a Summer Update, which includes new content and ongoing support for the game. The update includes a collaboration with Balatro, introducing two new side quests and free items, including the Joker Charm, which has a random gameplay effect every time it is equipped.
The UGC Fest is a four-week-long celebration of the "Dying Light" community's creativity and dedication. The event includes featured community maps, new visual mods, and various fixes and improvements to the game.
